Zero Project Awardee day! Sharing more free training!

It is our turn to have a video put up on the Zero Project web page, on Twitter and Facebook from the list of 76 Innovative Practices and Policies from 35 countries that are awardees this year. We are so thrilled about this honour as we have already mentioned in previous blogs, and to see PicSeePal on show as well is very special. twitter Zero project

It is also the week that Charlie Danger and David are presenting at the ATIA 2022 Conference. They are show casing some of the work we have been doing in Eastern Europe with UNICEF as well as other countries Building an accessible AAC delivery chain for new markets and enhanced practice.

Meanwhile, we now have a course supported by the Churchill Fellowship COVID-19 Action Fund to help carers build visual aids to support those who have speech and language difficulties in challenging situations. These may include times when PPE prevents clear communication or being unable to understand some complex information that benefits from the use of images and symbols.

There are five mini topics that can be used online via our free Moodle training course or downloaded as PowerPoint Carer slides or a PDF print out for face to face training. As we disseminate these resources, please get in touch if you would like to see any changes to the content or want us to host a translation of the topics. It is all delivered under a Creative Commons licence so can be adapted to suit different situations or settings. carer training
