Zero Project 2022 Awardee and yet more translations!

The beginning of this month began with a wonderful surprise as we heard we were a Zero Project 2022 Awardee. There are so many amazing projects across the world that have been recognised for their work "in the field of accessibility with 76 Innovative Practices and Policies from 35 countries".

Thank you to all those who voted for us as well as support from UNICEF and the Churchill Fellowship. It has been an incredible year with many colleagues adding translations to our website as well as symbol labels.

Thank you goes to those who are working with UNICEF ECARO in Bulgaria and North Macedonia to translate the AAC Guided Pathways on Moodle and developing Bulgarian Symbols with Latin and Cyrillic script as well as checking translations for the Global Symbols and Moodle websites. So much work that really makes a difference for all those in the world of AAC and thank you to the friends we also made in Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro. picking herbs

Meanwhile Natalie Leonidou, whilst completing her degree at Cyprus University of Technology, spent many hours translating the Mulberry Symbols into Greek, as well as correcting the automated translation of strings on the Global Symbols and Board Builder sites, so that both can be used in that language.

Thank you so much and we really hope to be collaborating more with everyone in the future. Let's hope 2022 sees us all being able to meet up and be increasingly innovative in this area of Augmentative and Alternative Communication and Assistive Technology to support inclusion and digital accessibility.

Happy New Year
