mentoring

  • Core team experts should provide mentoring to ensure that each member of the AAC Forum's capacity can be developed.
  • Mentoring can take place in person, by phone or by e-mail. It is important to remain in contact with AAC Forum members
  • Experts can share their views on the topic, recommend additional literature and resources that might be useful, or provide support in the technical area of using AAC on devices, using the Cboard application, or creating communication boards.
  • The AAC forum members need to be able to independently apply the concepts from the training to their practice and the support meetings should provide a platform for additional topics of interest not covered in the training or to discuss problems from practice.
  • Mentoring can be one-on-one, and at the support meeting, everyone can participate in a discussion and share experiences, focusing on best practices
